Korean Completes Fusion Reactor KSTAR

On September 13, 2007, The National Fusion Research Center of Korean announced that they have completed construction of a nuclear test fusion reactor - KSTAR (Korean Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research). The KSTAR reactor is 9m in height and has a diameter of 9m. The total investment of this project is about 330 million US$. With the construction of the KSTAR, Korea has now become the sixth country in the world to develop a nuclear fusion reactor after the U.S., Russia, China, Japan and the European Union.
