Development of 15kA HTS current lead

The new low thermal conductivity Ag-4at%Au sheath Bi-2223 tape have been fabricated in InnoST. The critical current of this tape is over 100A in 77K.

Recently we cooperated with the institutes of Plasma Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and succeeded in development of the 15kA HTS current lead for HT-7U tokamak. The test results of this current lead are satisfied the design request. The success in this project indicates that we have possessed the ability to design and fabricate of high capacity HTS current lead in series.
